Voting delayed for hours in most polling centres in Meru as Jubilee Party primaries kicks off

A spot check by Nation at Kinoru Primary, Meru Primary, Makutano, Mohame Moti, KCB, Gakoromone among other polling centres, established that voters were waiting for officials, clerks police and electoral materials at 7am.
Party members who spoke to Nation said they had arrived at the polling centres at 5am to enable them vote and leave for their businesses.
Mr Elijah Mukaria, a Meru town resident said he had checked several polling centres but none was open for voting.
