Cabinet secretary for Interior Joseph Nkaissery defended himself against accusations that he was campaigning for the jubilee government. Nkaissery said it was his responsibility to espouse the government achievement in his ministry and that doing so is not campaigning for the president. Nkaissery is amongst a group of government officials that have been accused by the opposition Nasa of disregarding the law by engaging in campaigns for the incumbent.
