The Turkana community stands out as one that has stuck to its centuries-old traditions. This is especially the case when it comes to a union between a man and a woman where members of the community must hold a traditional wedding if they are to be considered duly married. Today, we feature a one such colorful ceremony between two lovebirds who tied the knot the Turkana way as we shed light on why this time-honored tradition occupies a special place among the Nilotic people in the North Western part of Kenya.
