Stephen Nkaiwantei made it three wins in three races competed for Eastern Region at the Kenya Teachers Training Colleges National Athletics Championships in Elgeyo Marakwet County. The Kigari-based runner dominated the track events, winning the 3,000 steeplechase on Tuesday, followed by the 1,500m and 5,000m on Wednesday.
In other events, Winnie Awour, who won her second gold in the womens 400m T11 for the visually impaired, along with defending her 800 T11 title on Tuesday.
Lucy Chepkorir defended her 3,000m steeplechase title, which she won last year at Thogoto College.
Western’s Francis Osike won men’s 10,000m walk in a time of 52 minutes 34.2 seconds.
