Tea farmers in Kenya earned 140 billion shillings for their crop last year, recording the highest earnings registered in the last five years. The performance was boosted by high volumes that defied low international prices of the beverage in the market. Production reached a high of 474 million kilos in 2018 compared to the volume harvested in 2017.
