Sugar millers face tougher measures as they seek to renew their licenses after the regulator called for views from the public, including farmers who are owed millions of shillings by the millers, on whether milling permits should be extended. Agriculture and Food Authority director General Alfred Busolo says the 11 registered millers will be subjected to different tests to ascertain if they adhere to conditions such as timely payment to farmers.
