St. Marys mission hospitals founder Father William Charles Fryda, was today charged with forgery, issuing false documentation and conspiring to defraud the hospital.
He appeared before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, at the Nairobi Milimani law courts represented by his lawyer Cohen Amanya.
He is alleged to have issued a false letter with change of signatories of the hospital at Prime Bank Riverside drive, falsely pretending it had been issued by the mission Hospital. He however pleaded not guilty and was released on a bond of Ksh 500,000 or a cash bail of Ksh300,000.
The Priest was involved in an ownership dispute with a group of sisters revolving around St. Mary’s Hospital Nakuru early last year. The sisters moved to court as Father Fryda had gone against the code of conduct for the missionary hospital. The St. Mary’s Hospitals were founded to solely be missionary hospitals one in Langata and the other in Nakuru.
