Ruaraka Land Probe: Lands Committee summons Nairobi County official

The Parliamentary Lands Committee has tasked the county government to provide valid documents of land allotment and the planning process for the ownership of the land where Ruaraka Secondary School and Drive Inn Primary are located. County Executive Chair, Charles Kerich has until 5pm to table the documents to the Lands Committee Chair, Rachel Nyamae. Representing Nairobi Governor who did not show up for the meeting, CEC Lands Charles Kerich stated that the Ruaraka Land is public and not privately owned, this conflicting the view by the Ministry of Lands. The Committee is investigating the 3.2 billion shillings given to a private company without valid documentation of this ownership from the National Lands Commission
