Did the Office of the Auditor General fail to unearth what investigators believe could be a scandal at the National Youth service? Did they overlook it or could it be that government departments speak different languages? A 2017 auditor generals special report on the state department of public service and youth gave the department a clean Bill of health. The Auditor general in his report indicated that nothing came to his attention to cause him to believe that public money had been unlawfully or ineffectively spent.
Ken Mijungu goes through the report and draws a parallel between the Auditor general and the directorate of criminal Investigation.
