Potato farmers urged to go certified seeds to tackle diseases

Kenya’s seed regulator wants potato farmers to go for certified varieties to tackle diseases. Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate service managing director Esther Kimani said that more farmers are embracing the crop. The MD asked farmers to look for labels in the approved seeds in the market.
She added that they have released more than 55 seed varieties which include those for processing.
