Potato exporters operationg without licences to be fined

Exporters face a fine of up to five million shillings or a jail term of three years if convicted of engaging in potato trade without a valid license. This is prescribed in new regulations targeting Irish potatoes in which the government also reintroduced a cap on packaging potatoes in not more than 50 kilo bags.
