Pastoralists urged to embrace new farming methods

Pastoralists across the country have been urged to embrace modern farming methods to avert losses incurred during prolonged droughts.

Speaking during the week long Pastoralist forum held at Maasai Technical Training Institute in Kajiado town, various leaders across arid and semi-arid regions led by Kajiado governor Joseph Ole Lenku and Garrisa governor Ali Korane, noted that herders have in the recent past been left in abject poverty after losing all their livestock as a result of drought.
