Parliament ready to conduct business after the inaugural session

The 12th parliament has now received the stamp of approval to carry out its business as outlined in its calendar, after President Uhuru Kenyatta formally opened the two houses.

Majority leader Aden Duale allayed fears that a looming boycott by the opposition would affect parliamentary business saying the work will continue without a hitch.

The Jubilee legislators who attended the sitting commended President Kenyatta for delivering a speech whose highlight was building bridges to unite Kenyans.
