The majority party in parliament says it will conduct parliamentary business without colleagues from the minority party, courtesy of the House’s new standing orders. This was in response to NASA staying true to threats of boycotting today’s opening of Parliament. Jubilee MPs say absence of NASA MPs from parliament will only work against them as continued absence could result in their seats being declared vacant.
Members of the Judiciary also kept away from the ceremony. NTV’s Kennedy Murithi reports.
