The National Cohesion and Integration Commission together with various community based organizations held a walk in Kwale to sensitize residents on peace in this electioneering period.
The commission’s CEO Hassan Mohammed condemned the political intolerance witnessed in Kisumu, Baringo and Kiambu during Jubilee and NASA rallies. According to him, the incidents were organized by various people mostly the aspirants and we warn them against doing it again because the law will be followed to the letter to have them punished. He said that Kwale County is among the 20 counties which have been marked as hot spots. Taita Taveta University Vice Chancellor Hamadi Boga said that leaders at all levels should endeavor to preach peace and sensitize every resident on the same.
