It is relief for the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates of St Anthony Naburereya Secondary School in Bumula Sub County Bungoma County after they finally received their results.
The Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) on Thursday released the results of 71 students and cancelled 22 of them three weeks after KCSE results were announced.
The results had been allegedly held after the examinations body detected some irregularities.
The school principal Irene Otsiula urged the affected students to report to school for guiding and counseling so that they can re-sit the tests this year.
She said 13 students qualify for direct entry to public universities.
The 93 students who sat for the national examinations were thrown into a state of confusion after they failed to receive their results when the KCSE results were announced on December 21.
It is through the joint intervention of the school principal and other education stakeholders that they managed to secure results for 71 students.
