Medics raise alarm over the rise to increased alcohol/illicit brew consumption among teens.
Dr Stephen Chege-general practitioner in the oncology department-Meru Teaching and Referral hospital said that risk factors in the rising in cancer cases.
General medical practitioners from over 13 counties are undergoing training on how to manage cancer. Dr Chite Asirwa, international Cancer institute director said that it was important to train more health practitioners to be able to tackle the disease burden. Kenya has about 20 oncologists yet the country records about 40,000 new cases every year.
