Masinde Muliro University students protest over delayed appointment of Vice Chancellor

Police were forced to lob teargas to disperse Masinde Muliro University students who gathering to hold a demo in Kakamega town.
The students were gathering to protest against what they said were delays in the appointment of a new vice chancellor.
The university has been without a substantive vice chancellor for close to a year after the term of former vice chancellor, Prof Fredrick Otieno expired.
The students have vowed to continue holding protests until they are heard.
