Loggers vs. KFS : Loggers demand repayment of funds

Saw millers from Mt. Kenya region have appealed to the directorate of criminal investigations, DCI,  and the office of director of public prosecutions to help them regain their 300 million shillings which they claim they had deposited to the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) for the  purchase of mature trees in the government forests before the ban on logging was imposed.
The millers are now up in arms, after the KFS told them that they are actually in debt to a tune of 1 billion shillings, prompting the non-payment of their monies.
