National carrier Kenya Airways will cut back the daily flights on the new Nairobi-New York route starting January to five weekly flights.
Kenya Airways CEO, Sebastian Mikosz, says they have been forced to reduce the frequency of flights to the rout, which was launched on 28th October due to low demand during the winter season.
Aviation experts however argue that the airline did not do extensive studies to establish the viability of the route saying the pride of Africa should have introduced the flights gradually based on demand.
