Elgeyo-Marakwet County Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has urged the Rift Valley region to support Deputy President’s bid to become the President of Kenya come 2022.
Murkomen was speaking during the Marakwet Cultural Festival held in Eldoret town. The senator said all leaders and residents of the Rift Valley region should rally behind the Deputy President. Murkomen also urged communities in the country to be proud of their culture and use the same to unite Kenyans despite their unique cultural diversity. The newly nominated PS for East Africa community Susan Koech urged elders from the Marakwet community to ensure their culture is transferred from the older generation to the younger one.
