Makueni Governor Professor Kivutha Kibwana has dismissed claims by the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee that he snubbed today’s grilling in Kitui County Assembly. The Governor said he had written a letter to the Senate clerk informing him that he would be traveling out of the country on official engagements today and requesting to have today’s meeting rescheduled. Kivutha says he has been in regular communication with the committee’s chairman Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang over his unavailability for today’s grilling. The governor dismissed allegations of irregular use of 1.4 Billion shillings by his government on stalled or non-existent projects, blaming the allegations on Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. Kibwana says EACC and DCI are welcome to investigate the said allegations.
