It’s unlikely that power tariffs will go up in the short term, according to the Acting Chief Executive of Kenya Power, Dr. Ken Tarus.
The welcome news comes despite Kenya’s energy mix having been altered by the ongoing drought in some parts of the country which has reduced the levels of water in hydroelectric dams.
The long rains which were expected to have started mid this month have been delayed with the weathermen predicting them to start at the end of the month.
