Kenya Police and Telkom are poised to win the 2017 Kenya Hockey Union men and women’s Premier League titles this weekend, when the league resumes after a long break.

Police need just one win in their final three matches, and could be crowned champions either with victory over second last team Kenyatta University Vultures on Saturday, or Wazalendo on Sunday. Police have won 23 out 25 matches, losing one and drawing another to tally at 70 points, 18 ahead of second-placed Greensharks. The women’s title awaits the dominant Telkom, who need just a point to win a record 20th title. They face Multimedia University on Sunday at City Park Stadium, Nairobi. Telkom have won all their 17 matches played this season. They leave for the Africa Club Championship next week.
