The Kenya National Highways Authority KENHA has denied failing to give affected persons along the Likoni-Lunga Lunga road adequate notice before demolishing their structures

On Sunday, NTV spoke to leaders and residents who accused KENHA of a number of violations of the law; including short vacate notices. They also accused the authority of demolishing houses which are not on road reserves and leaving out others which should have been brought down. In a statement to newsrooms, KENHA said the residents have been reluctant to vacate the houses or voluntarily remove encroachments even after a 30-day vacate notice.
