Irungu Houghton is puzzled by the fact that John Gakuo was considered to be Nairobi county deputy governor despite an ongoing corruption case in which he was eventually convicted, along with others, for his role in the purchase of land meant for a cemetery in Mavoko, Athi River, in 2009.
