Intersex persons in the country are advocating for inclusivity and protection of their rights and recognition. This even as it emerged that majority of the intersex persons of school-going age experience low levels of access to education, with only about 10% of them attaining tertiary education. Statistics further show that in terms of self-recognition, 5% recognized themselves as intersex whereas the rest grapple with confusion.
