As if the psychological and financial pressure of meeting a partners expectations aren’t enough during this day marked globally as the day for love, there is the societal pressures that comes in the modern age where all Valentines day plans like dinners concerts, events and expensive gifts are talked about in conversation and even shared publicly on social media.
Mostly vocal over the years have been those hoping to skip the day who try to show it as a non essential calendar day picked by shrewd business people who hope to cash in on sales, but could they be right?
 Maya Hayakawa took it to the streets of Nairobi to find out what Kenyans think of the day, and complied a cross section of hilarious memes which reflect how we truly feel about the holiday.
