Gov’t says Masinga dam is likely to spill its waters anytime

Residents of the lower Tana region are bracing themselves for yet another round of heavy flooding after the government issued an alert over the possible overflow of the Masinga dam anytime between now and Friday.
A statement issued by energy cabinet secretary Charles Keter and his devolution and water counterparts Eugene Wamalwa and Simon Chelugui says the seven forks dams which include Masinga, Kamburu,Gitaru, Kindaruma and Kiambere reservoirs  are full to capacity and will begin spilling their waters anytime.
