President Uhuru Kenyatta has  initiated radical changes in his legal advisory team and nominated court of appeal judge  justice Paul Kihara Kariuki to be the new attorney general.
The soft spoken judge who was once slated for the position of chief justice  replaces Prof.Githu Muigai who resigned earlier today after serving as the government’s principal legal adviser for six years
The president has also re-deployed his close confidant  and solicitor general Njee Muturi as well as his legal and constitutional affairs advisor Abdikadir Mohammed who takes up on a new role as kenya’s ambassador to South Korea.
Richard Kagoe reports on what may have  influenced the new changes and their impact on Kenyatta’s legacy.
