Frustrations after system failure at Kenya Power leaves consumers without power

Kenya Power’s prepaid customers have since Friday been experiencing delays of up to 24 hours in receiving purchased electricity tokens.

Sources have confirmed to K24 Tv that the delay was caused by an unscheduled system upgrade that ended up taking longer that expected.

Customers have been forced to stay without power with some businesses experiencing massive losses.

Kenya Power has since acknowledged and apologised for the delay after angry customers started venting their frustrations on social media.
