It was a tragic ending for four Kenyan pilgrims who were headed to Namugongo parish in Uganda after they were hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning. The four died on the spot while five others who suffered serious injuries were rushed to the Busia County Referral hospital for treatment. The driver of the ill-fated matatu that was headed for Busia from Kampala escaped into a nearby banana plantation. Those who died were from Kisoko and Naitiri Parishes in Bungoma and Busia respectively. The early morning accident occurred at Iganga in eastern Uganda.
