Members of the Joint Executive Committee, comprising of Nominees from both Football Kenya Federation and the Kenya Premier League are expected to meet for the first time on Friday.
The Joint Executive Committee was ordered by the Sports Tribunal to discuss on the merits, modalities and mechanism for the expansion of the Kenyan Premier League from 16 to 18 teams for the 2017 season. FKF has nominated President Nick Mwendwa, Vice President Doris Petra and NEC Member for Nairobi Chris Amimo. In addition the FKF CEO Robert Muthomi will serve as the secretary to the joint committee. According to a letter to KPL CEO Jack Oguda FKF has also asked KPL representatives to attend the meeting at 10am at the FKF Boardroom at Kasarani. The joint committee has to report back to the Sports Tribunal on Tuesday next week.
