As parliament reconvenes tomorrow among key issues set to be given priority is the finance bill 2019, in which the national treasury has made proposals that they hope will help them finance the 2019, 2020 budget.
Among the proposals in the bill is the repeal of section 33b of the banking act to remove the interest rate capping law which the national treasury cabinet secretary says has not achieved its intended purpose.
The bill also seeks to reduce government expenditure while at the same time increasing revenue collection through the Kenya revenue authority.
