County promises to pay striking workers their July salaries

Taita Taveta County officials ask workers to be patient as they thrive towards ensuring that their July salaries are paid this week. Earlier, the workers demonstrated outside Governor Granton Samboja’s office before they were addressed by the county secretary Liverson Mghendi, chief of staff Philemon Mwaisaka and Finance CEC Davis Mwangoma. The workers have however issued a seven-day strike notice and threatened to withdraw services if the county government fails to pay as promised
