County funding stalemate

Share this:

County governments will receive three hundred and sixteen point five billion shillings in shareable revenue in the financial year 2020/2021 . . . the announcement came following  the  deputy president William Ruto chaired  intergovernmental  budget and economic  council, IBEC, meeting  Tuesday, with the figure being attributed to depressed  revenue collection in the country.
The same time,  the controller of budget  Margret Nyakang’o  who was present at the  intergovernmental meeting, dismissed claims that her office  was out to frustrate distribution of funds to counties, saying that her office will release the funds to the counties as soon as possible.
