The cost of fertilizer is expected to drop by more than 30 percent once Kenya completes the construction of a fertilizer granulation plant in Nakuru. The plant being financed by the International Finance Corporation is owned by Fertiplant East Africa which is a subsidiary of MEA fertilizer. Fertiplant Chief Executive Titus Gitau says the new plant is expected to be operational in seven months following a one billion shillings funding from the International Finance Corporation.
