The construction and real estate industry is feeling the effects of the coronavirus pandemic as the regulations bar social gathering. A spot check shows a majority of workers who come from Kawangware have been declared redundant. Firms are appealing to the government to relax some of the restrictions so as not to stifle prospects of the construction sector. Cases of COVID 19 within Kawangware has been on the decline which is attributed to the concerted efforts of various stakeholders including youth who have formed the Kawangware ni Yetu initiative
