Clergy in Baringo county are calling on the government and lecturers in public universities to soften their stand and dialogue to end the varsity strike.
Bishop Daniel Chemon who was speaking during a pastors graduation ceremony at Kabarnet full gospel church said it time talks are given a chance to end the stalemate since students have started engaging in other activities instead of learning. Learning in public universities has been paralyzed for six weeks after lecturers called for industrial action vowing to go to class after the government gives them a counter offer on their 2017 – 2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement
