Blow for homosexuals: Court declines same-sex unions

The high court has  Friday declined to repeal section 162 of the penal code which criminalizes gay sex, maintaining that the provisions are not vague and do not disclose an offense.
The three judge bench ruled that the petitioners had failed to prove that the provisions were discriminatory and that there was no evidence to show they were discriminated and their rights violated while seeking healthcare.
