Amputee football team ends a day long strike over unpaid allowances

The government has agreed to settle all allowances owed to the national amputee team after Sports Cabinet Secretary, Rashid Echesa, met the squad at the ministry’s headquarters at Kencom House.
The team had spent the night at the ministry’s boardroom after failing to get an audience with the government following their arrival from the Amputee World Cup in Mexico where they finished 12th out of 24 teams.
